The Surprise City Council voted to repeal the city’s “Do Not Solicit” ordinance last week, which means businesses no longer need to consult the “Do Not Solicit” list and are free to solicit in Surprise without a solicitation license.   The approved motion also requires City staff to formalize a process for gathering stakeholder input prior to the Council being presented with changes to or new city ordinances.  This is great news because it encourages City staff to work with WeMAR before any ordinance is adopted.

A special thanks goes out to each of you that sent emails and testified before the City Council.  Your efforts paid off, so thank you for your willingness to get involved in this important issue.
