Join us in our efforts to give back to our REALTORS® and affiliates, and to the communities in which we live and work. This committee meets monthly and coordinates multiple events and fundraising endeavors. Come to a meeting and see if it's a good fit your goals and skills. Purpose: The Charitable Events Committee is responsible for identifying, organizing, and hosting opportunities for WeMAR membership to provide charitable support to the community, and to participate in outreach and service in the communities of the West Valley, while meeting the goals and objectives of the WeMAR Strategic Plan and the requirements of the NAR Association Core Standards.
Objective: The committee works in partnership with the WeMAR Events Manager and/or CEO to identify charitable events in which the committee’s time and effort will result in the most significant impact, to review possible charities to partner with, to evaluate venues and programs and to discuss how to get the most recognition for WeMAR.
This committee also works to promote the REALTOR® message of community service and involvement in the areas served by WeMAR, develop plans and opportunities for WeMAR to reach its strategic objectives and the goals outlined in the NAR core standards, and facilitate member engagement in the community outreach effort.
This committee meets the first Thursday of every month from 3:00-4:15 PM in the WeMAR Boardroom. Please let us know you'll be there by registering for the meetings.
