About this Event
May the Code Be With YouThis class is certified for 3 hours of Commissioner's Standards Continuing Education renewal credit by the Arizona Department of Real Estate, as well as meeting the content to earn the credit for the NAR Code of Ethics update requirement. This course will also:
- Go over the history and background of NAR and the Code of Ethics
- Discuss the 1st part of the Code - the Preamble and what it is
- Learn the structure of the Code of Ethics
- Provide an overview of the AAR Ethics Citation Program
- You will discover the 5 most frequently violated articles
Code of Ethics
By the end of 2018, ALL REALTORS® will need to have taken a NAR approved Code of Ethics course. In preparation for the December 31,If you take or have taken the class anywhere other than WeMAR, please submit your completion certificate to WeMAR to be recorded. Please fax to 623.931.1008; please include your MLS ID or NRDS ID on the certificate. There is no need to resubmit your certificate if you have already done so.
All new members of WeMAR have 90 days to complete a Code of Ethics class. This includes those who transfer from another association. If the transferee attended a Code of Ethics course while a member of their previous association, we ask that they forward a copy of their completion certificate to us. New members who join
As a reminder, the National Association of REALTORS® requires that all REALTORS® attend a Code of Ethics course every 2-years. This period is from January 1, 2017–December 31, 2018.
Failure to fulfill these requirements will result in membership termination until the class is taken and reported to WeMAR. Access to MLS, zipForm® and all other association benefits will also be inactivated. It is $60 to be reinstated as a member.
