THIS CLASS IS HELD IN CASA GRANDE, AZ.Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). FHA, which began in 1934, acts as an insurer in case of default. It sets the guidelines required for the underwriting of the loan by lenders to meet FHA insurance requirements. FHA does not provide direct financing or set the interest rates on the mortgages it insures. Lenders fund the mortgage and collect payments.

Patrick Ritchie has spent the past 20 years as a mortgage loan officer and enjoys bringing real-world scenarios into the classroom. He is the author of the book The Credit Road Map, an in-depth look into how the credit world works. Patrick has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University and a Master of Legal Studies from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He is certified by Westlaw in advanced legal research and holds a certification in the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
