Learn to be mindful in your property management practice. Get the knowledge you need to stay on the right side of the law.The Risks will walk you through:
- Elements of property management
- Roles and responsibilities of a property manager, and the required accountability to the client and Broker
- Landlord Tenant Act and Consumer Rights
- Fair Housing laws and the Americans with Disabilities Act
- Disclosures and contracts (Seller/Landlord SPDS, code compliance, maintenance and management agreements, as well as residential property management agreements and addenda)
- Tenant relations (Fair Housing, ADA, security deposits, credit reporting, move in/move out policies, residential lease agreement and addenda, and breach of contract protocol)
- Landlord Tenant Act (Evictions, foreclosures, contracts, and record retention)
