Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays

About this Event

Construction Details

• Houses must be at least 80% edible
• Members may drop off houses November 29–December 18; the longer your house is at WeMAR, the more opportunity to be seen and receive votes
• Houses will be divided into two categories; Individual or Group (entry fees: individual $10 / group $25)
• Houses will be displayed in WeMAR hallway
• Each house will have a tent card with the name of house, and name and company of Architect(s)
• Please take your gingerbread house home after the open house on December 19

Voting

• Each house will have a ballot box for tickets (votes)
• Anyone may vote on their favorite house(s) by purchasing tickets at WeMAR
• Tickets will be sold to be used as votes (3 for $5, 7 for $10, and 16 for $20; cash only)
• For each ticket purchased, one half will be used to cast votes; the other half will be entered into a 50/50 drawing (please print your name and phone number on the back)

Open House

• WeMAR will host a free open house on December 19 with coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies
  
• Votes will be tallied on December 19 and winners announced around 3:30 PM
  
• 50/50 Drawing will also occur on December 19; voters do not have to be present to win the 50/50 drawing
  

Prizes

• Nominal award will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category
• 1st Place will also receive an additional prize
• Winners homes will be pictured in January REALTOR® and Affiliate announcement emails
